AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - A 30-year-man was shot and killed while in his car Monday evening, Akron police said.
Officers got to the 800 block of Sumner Street around 7 p.m. Monday and found a vehicle over the curb and in the front yard.
In the driverâs seat of the car was the victim, JâRome Arteece Ely, who police said had gunshot wounds to the head and torso.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The FBI is hoping the public can help identify a man wanted for his alleged involvement in assaulting a federal officer during the deadly Jan. 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol.
Investigators released two photos of the man seen in red, white, and blue face paint and said it’s believed he may have ties to Northeast Ohio, specifically in Summit County.

CLEVELAND, Ohio The FBI is seeking help in identifying a man with possible ties to Northeast Ohio who is suspected of assaulting a federal officer at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.
Agents on Monday released images of a man who they believe may be from Summit County. The FBI would not release any information regarding the assault, only images of a person with red, white and blue paint on his face.

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Division of the FBI – Akron Resident Agency, and Summit County Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual allegedly involved in assaulting a federal officer during the unrest at the U.S. Capital on January 6, 2021. The initial investigation to identify the individual in the accompanying photos has resulted in the belief that this person has ties to the Northern Ohio area, specifically Summit County. Specifics regarding that connection cannot be released at this time. AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - A man robbed the Flowerama Saturday evening after handing the clerk a note demanding money.
Akron police said the unidentified suspect walked into the store in the 2400 block of Mogadore Road around 7 p.m.
He then approached the counter and gave the clerk the note. Man wanted for robbing the Flowerama. (Source: Akron police)
After getting an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled.
Police said no weapon was seen, but the note indicated the suspect was armed.
