Charlie Doud showed up for his coronavirusvaccination at the mega-site at Rowan College of South Jersey in Gloucester County on Jan. 14.
It was organized, he said, with plenty of volunteers and National Guard members moving the lines along, checking people’s appointments and reminding them it was essential to get a second dose.

COVID vaccine providers say they are running so low on doses that they can no longer take appointments from New Jersey residents just two days after Gov. Phil Murphy s administration expanded eligibility to millions.
Residents say they have been trying several times a day to book appointments at sites across the state, but can t get through or have been told there is no vaccine available.
Margaret Tarantino, 79, spent Thursday contacting pharmacies near her home in Sussex County to no avail. They keep adding and expanding the group and passing the original group in line, she said.
ShopRite, which began vaccinations at 39 locations statewide, said its appointments are booked for the foreseeable future and are telling customers to check back at a later date.
