Event Description
This course will cover major topics in human anatomy at the gross level, things that can be seen with the eye. Topics covered may include the skeletal system, skull and brain, special senses, major muscles of the upper and lower body, organs of the thorax and abdomen, and reproduction. Models will be used frequently throughout the course to allow for demonstration of key concepts. A heart and brain will be shown for those topics.
Convenor: Mary McGinn has degrees from several schools, including Northern Illinois University. She is currently on the anatomy faculty and loves teaching in the laboratories. Prof. McGinn is also involved in the Anatomy Club at NIU, STEM Fest, and the Anatomy High School Outreach Course.
