TAOISEACH MICHEÁL MARTIN has this evening confirmed that pubs and hospitality will reopen for outside business on 7 June.
It also emerged that hotels and B&Bs can reopen on 2 June and will be permitted to serve residents indoors.
There will be no distinction between restaurants, pubs or other food outlets and the €9 meal measure will not return.

The Restaurants Association of Ireland (RAI) has sharply criticised the Government’s reopening plan for “dividing” the hospitality sector.
Under the easing of restrictions announced by the Taoiseach, Micheál Martin, this evening, hotels will be allowed to reopen with indoor dining for residents from June 2nd, while other hospitality outlets will be allowed to reopen with outdoor dining only from June 7th.
No date has been set for the resumption of wider indoor dining apart from within hotels. The State’s public health advisers have repeatedly warned that indoor dining creates the conditions most conducive to the spread of the virus.
Restaurants have reacted to the Governmentâs latest plan to reopen the economy with âdisbelief, confusion and frustrationâ.
Hotel and guesthouse restaurants will be permitted to operate indoor dining options from June 2nd but independent restaurants, coffee shops and gastropubs will be restricted to outdoor dining only from June 7th.
Restaurants Association of Ireland chief executive Adrian Cummins called on the Government to publish âmedical and scientific evidenceâ deeming a hotel or guesthouse restaurant safer than other establishments.
âRestaurants, hotels, cafes and gastropubs have all followed and implemented the exact same safety protocols for diners since June of last year,â he said.
