The recall notice applies to batches with the use by dates 13/02/2021 and 14/02/2021.
According to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI), the recall is due to a strong unpleasant salty taste caused by an ingredient which is part of the normal composition but that has been overdosed in the production of these batches. There is no food safety risk but impact on taste can be unpleasant to consumers.

People are being warned not the consume the capsules, which contain a substance that is not intended for human consumption.
A quantity of the capsules have been seized following an intelligence-led investigation by the FSAI, in cooperation with other State agencies.
The recall reads: 2,4 dinitrophenol (DNP) is a highly toxic industrial chemical with legitimate uses, but it is not intended for human consumption. DNP is a yellow powder, often put into capsules before being sold to the consumer as a fat loss aid.

People are being warned not to consume a weight loss capsule which has been seized in Ireland.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland says the capsule contains a substance which is not intended for human consumption.
A quantity of them have been seized, and there is a warning it has serious and unpredictable side effects, with a number of fatalities recorded from its use.
People are being urged not to consume any DNP products sourced online, and are being advised it is a yellow powder.
