According to reports, a Florida teen entered a guilty plea for the murder of his mother stemming from an argument they had over his poor grades. Gregory Ramos, 17, was charged as an adult for the 2018 murder of his 46-year-old mother by strangulation and later disposing of her body. Ramos pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in exchange for a 45-year prison sentence and lifetime probation as part of his deal.
Ramos was also required to plead guilty to two additional charges: abuse of a dead body and tampering with evidence. Investigators say Ramos and his mother got into a heated argument after being confronted about receiving a D in school. He reportedly strangled his mother 30 minutes after their dispute. The teen also solicited his two friends help to make the murder scene look like a burglary.
