After the Delhi violence, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has taken a U-turn in the controversy with respect to tweets by celebrities like Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar. Deshmukh on Monday clarified that the state government was probing the BJP IT cell and that his words had been misinterpreted earlier. Lata Mangeshkar is like God to us, Sachin is held in high regard by the whole country, the inquiry was never against them, it was against the BJP IT cell, he said.

New Delhi: Bullet train work in India is on fast track. Recently, work for detailed & comprehensive geotechnical laboratory testing began for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor. The base of L&T’s testing facility has been established in Surat.
Over there, training sessions have been initiated to train technicians who will be handling the consolidation and triaxial testing at the lab facility. As per NHSRCL, this process is in agreement with the national skill development mission and it also disseminates geotechnical investigation skills to engineers and technicians.
