Canada’s Ocean Supercluster
Canada’s Ocean Supercluster is a national, industry-led group bringing together ocean industries to develop and commercialize globally relevant solutions to some of the biggest challenges facing them.
Led from Newfoundland and Labrador and Nova Scotia, the nearly CAD27 million (€17.6 million/$21 million) project is aimed at bridging gaps between land, sea-based and processing operations in the aquaculture industry by providing real-time information, analytics and environmental connectivity to improve overall operations.
Among the egg-to harvest project s multiple goals are better fish health monitoring, enhanced containment control, advanced equipment monitoring, broadened environmental monitoring, increased storm preparedness, improved crew safety and the development of innovative network capabilities and farm system software.
