AUBURN HILLS, Mich., June 2, 2021 /PRNewswire/ BorgWarner s integrated drive module (iDM) was selected by the Hyundai Motor Group for its power electric system, which will be used in the upcoming A-segment electric vehicle production, planned to start in mid of 2023. With its state-of-the-art electric motor, gearbox and integrated power electronics, BorgWarner s new iDM supports global automakers in their mission to produce cleaner and more efficient vehicles.
New 800V electric motor for the commercial vehicle segment
BorgWarner’s latest High Voltage Hairpin (HVH) electric motor, the HVH 320, powers a variety of hybrid and electric applications for commercial vehicle manufacturers, including a large European OEM. Production of the motor, which is equipped with 800V capabilities and offered in four versions, is expected in early 2024. Its multi-faceted platform will assist the manufacturers’ intention of a common electric drivetrain and produce approximately 97% peak efficiency and over 400kW of power.
