Two males have been charged with drug-related crimes in Buckingham. Matushan Vasanthan, of Gardenia Avenue, Luton, 19, and a 17-year-old boy of no fixed address, were arrested in the town in the afternoon of Friday, February 5. A  third individual, a 25-year-old man from Aylesbury, has been released on bail whist the investigation continues. This is part of Aylesbury Stronghold – a regional operation to reduce crime in the area. In a brief Facebook post that was published on Saturday, February 6 by Thames Valley Police Aylesbury Vale, they said: “Several officers from Aylesbury Police Station stopped a vehicle and detained two individuals suspected to be heavily involved in the county line supply of class A drugs.

After Dark nightclub loses licence as court upholds Reading Council decision

The After Dark The After Dark nightclub will have to close permanently, after it lost an appeal on Tuesday. Reading Borough Council’s (RBC) decision to revoke the legendary club’s licence in June 2019 was upheld by the High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court yesterday. The club’s licence was revoked by the council due to noise and safety concerns but, according to manager Zee Khan the magistrate upheld the decision because of the noise issues. The club has been closed since March due to the coronavirus pandemic. Mr Khan said the decision to revoke the licence was upheld due to one family complaining about noise from the club.
