Two weeks ago the Rose Garden Hospice received a sizable boost from an anonymous donor in Ontario.
According to a Hospice press release, organizers got in touch with the donor after he left a message asking to be contacted. The donor said he had an interest in hospices, and after a lengthy conversation he said he would like to make a sizeable donation to the Care for Comfort campaign, but didn’t reveal how big it would be. When the cheque arrived, it was for $30,000.
“We were overjoyed at the money coming in at such a crucial time,” Marina Mitchell, who is chair of the funding committee said in the release.
On a very hot morning, members of the Rose Garden Hospice were soaking up the sun and also and also soaking up a generous donation from the Prince Albert community.
Fresh Air Experience donated $10,000 to the Rose Garden Hospice, putting them one step closer to reaching their fundraising goal of $4,000,000.
Owners of Fresh Air Experience, Mike and Ron Horn were thankful to the community for allowing them to make this donation.
“Our company has been in business in Prince Albert for 41 years, it’s time to give back and we were fortunate to do that,” Ron said. “It feels good and feels right.

Malcom Jenkins says his Canadian Tire location in Prince Albert, Sask., sells the most Toffifee in the world and it s donating some of the money from those sales to help build a new hospice in the province.
