The Oshkosh School Board looks at plans to bring students back to class full time as early as February 8th. One of the key components would be an ability to provide contact tracing when a student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19. Board Member Allison Garner is concerned that the neither the district nor Winnebago County Health Department would have the staff to handle that. Other challenges identified by Oshkosh administrators are securing enough substitute teachers and providing enough social distancing in classrooms and lunch areas. The School Board will vote on the back to school plan next Monday.
