Greater Sudbury Police detectives have charged a 24-year-old man from Greater Sudbury with firearms trafficking, the police service said in a release on Thursday.
Members of the Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at a residential building on Cedar Street in relation to an active firearms trafficking investigation on March 30, police said.

At the time, detectives were following up on firearms and ammunition that were seized during unrelated search warrants earlier in the year, and were investigating the purchasing and selling habits of a licensed firearms owner with a valid Possession and Acquisition Licence for non-restricted firearms.
