Santa Cruz man shot dead
Christian Perez, 22, of La Canoa Road, Santa Cruz, was shot dead on Friday morning.
Police said he was standing at the corner of Robert Street and Monroe Road, La Canoa, at around 9 am when he was shot several times.
Nearby residents saw him bleeding and called the police.
Members of the North Eastern Division Task Force and Santa Cruz Police went to the area with a district medical officer, who declared Perez dead.
Police from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II also visited the scene and are making enquiries.
Motorcyclist crashes after being shot in San Juan

A 32-year-old man is in stable condition after he was shot while riding his motorcycle in San Juan on Monday night.
Police said the man was riding along the Santa Cruz Old Road at around 9.25 pm when he heard gunshots, felt a burning in his back and crashed into a parked car.
Passers-by saw the accident and called the police.
Members of the North Eastern Division Task Force and San Juan police took the man to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he was treated for a gunshot to his lower back.
Man shot at in Barataria after buying drinks

A 31-year-old man narrowly escaped death after he gave money to some friends to buy drinks on Saturday night.
Police said the man went to a spot on Seventh Avenue, Malick, at around 9 pm, where he met with some friends and gave them $400 to buy drinks.
As the man left the area he was confronted by a man who shot at him.
The man ran to his car and drove off as his attacker continued shooting, hitting the car several times. The intended target was not wounded.
Members of the North Eastern Division Task Force went to the scene with Morvant police. Investigators from the Morvant CID are continuing enquiries.
