SANYA, January 25. /TASS/. Hainan s Sanya in 2020 built 1,595 fifth generation (5G) base stations, reported the local authorities.
According to the government s report on the economic development of the city, last year the task was set to accelerate the construction of infrastructure for the fifth generation of communications, in particular to develop a network of base stations. The indicators for the year exceeded the plan: in March, the authorities announced their intention to build 1,400 base stations by the end of December. At the same time, 342 5G stations were installed in the city in 2019.
