The index considered a series of metrics, including healthcare and exercise. Overall, Canada earned a good score for blood pressure rates and life expectancy as well as high happiness levels. The U.S. lost points for obesity, depression and inactivity. The findings are closely-aligned with a 2018 report by the University of Pennsylvania s Wharton School of Business and BAV consulting, which ranked Canada the second-best country in the world.
