Theme parks to drop temperature checks
Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort on Wednesday announced that they will be discontinuing temperature checks for employees and guests.
LAKE MARY, Fla. - Walt Disney World Resort on Wednesday announced that it will phase out onsite temperature screenings for employees beginning May 8 and for guests on May 16.
Disney said it is making adjustments with the support of local health and government officials as guidance from health experts continues to evolve. FOX 35 walks through the queue of Universal Orlando s newest thrill ride, Jurassic World: VelociCoaster.
ORLANDO, Fla. - As the opening of the newest thrill ride approaches at Universal Orlando Resort, photos are emerging from inside the queue.
The theme park company previously announced that that Jurassic World VelociCoaster will open this summer on June 10.
Theme park blog Universal Parks News Today visited Universal s Island of Adventure on Sunday for an annual pass preview of the attraction.

Florida Governor DeSantis Suspends Local Emergency COVID Orders, Orange County Mask Mandate Likely Ending
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced today that effective immediately, he is suspending all local COVID-19 emergency orders.
DeSantis says the orders are officially suspended today and will be invalidated via executive order by July 1st.
Orange County, where Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort are located, has been under a local mask mandate. DeSantis’s actions today would render that mandate invalid.
It is important to note that this does not mean the parks aren’t requiring masks. Both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando make and enforce their own policies, including their COVID-19 safety measures. The CDC continues to recommend the use of face masks at crowded public locations like theme parks.
