Many sporting enthusiasts in the country are still not familiar with teqball as a sport; even hearing about it seems to be a rarity, let alone playing the sport.
Relatively new in the sporting sphere, teqball is popularly played overseas. It was introduced in Brunei Darussalam last year to encourage the community to practise an active and healthy lifestyle.
It combines elements of football and table tennis mainly played on a curved table. Initially, the founder of the sport used a ping pong table. However, innovation inspired the creation of an arch-shaped table called a teqboard, which typically measures in at three metres in length, 1.5 metres wide and 0.76m high.
IFSC secures .sport domains 12/14/20
The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) and the Global Association of International Sports Federation (GAISF) are pleased to announce that the IFSC has secured a series of web domains using the .sport internet extension.
The domain is operated by GAISF and already has over 1 000 organisations registered to use the dedicated .sport domain. GAISF’s ownership protects the integrity of the extension, ensuring that only fully qualified organisations governing bodies, organisations, clubs and businesses can use it. Furthermore, to ensure that domain names ending in .sport are allocated to parties whose role matches the expectations for the respective domain name, every registration has to go through a validation process.
