But Singh isn’t leaving the family; she has signed a first-look deal with Universal Television Alternative Studio to develop unscripted projects through her Unicorn Island Productions. The final original episode of “A Little Late” will air on June 3. Reruns of the two-season experiment will fill the 1:30 a.m. time slot through the summer, we’re told.

NBC’s A Little Late With Lilly Singh Ending After Season 2 NBC and Lilly Singh have decided to end Singh’s late-night program A Little Late With Lilly Singh after just two years, the company and Singh announced on Thursday.  In a statement released alongside the announcement, Singh cited her desire to make longer-form content that focuses on other aspects and stories as the reason for deciding to end the show. “I have a desire to make longer-form content telling underrepresented stories, which is difficult to execute on a nightly show,” Singh said.  Currently, Singh is set to star in a new comedy project on Netflix, which will be executive produced by Kenya Barris and his Khalabo Ink Society. Singh has also signed a first-look deal with Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group, to develop unscripted projects.

The Jennifer Lopez-produce dance competition series concluded its most recent season last August when the teen trio MDC 3 was named champions. The show was absent from NBC’s recently announced summer lineup, and there are no current plans for it to return to the network. The series, from Universal Television Alternative Studio and Nuyorican Productions, puts individual and group dancers from a variety of genres and styles up against each other for the title of “Best Dancer in the World” and a $1 million prize.
