At one time, housing plans were not the priority of the Central government. The government did not care about the details and quality of construction. If the changes were not made, it would have been very difficult. Today, the country has chosen a different approach, said PM Modi at the launch of Light House Projects (LHP) across six states.

New Delhi, Jan 1 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday laid the foundation stone of the Light House Projects (LHP) under the Global Housing Technology Challenge (GHTC-India) and said the worldwide challenge of Covid-19 has given the scope to innovate and incubate with new technology.
The six LHP has been conceptualised by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The project aims to identify and mainstream several innovative technologies from across the world which are sustainable and disaster-resilient.

New Delhi [India], January 1 (ANI): JharkhandChief MinisterHemant Soren on Friday said that under the Centre s Light House Projects they will be constructing 1,008 houses for the poor and middle-class population in the state.
Speaking at the occasion, Soren said, Jharkhand is a backward state and under Light House Project, 1,008 houses will be constructed here with the help of the Central and State government. People living here have a low income as most of them are labourers. We should strategise how we can minimise their financial burden.
