Around 17.58 lakh families allotted homes in UP under PMAY (Urban): Yogi Adityanath ANI | Updated: Jan 01, 2021 19:16 IST Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 1 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said his government is striving to fulfil the dream of own home (Apna Ghar) of all the underpriviledged families of the state adding that 17,58,000 families have been allotted residential homes in the state by the government till now under the PM Awas Yojana (Urban). Out of the said figure, around 10.58 lakh homes are under construction while the rest have been completed. Keeping the needs of the future in mind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone of the lighthouse project based on the latest technology, in six states. Housing for poor, middle class priority: Modi NEW DELHI, Jan 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the Light House Projects (LHPs) being executed with modern technologies in six States will show a new direction to the housing construction sector in the country and further strengthen cooperative federalism. Modi laid the foundation stone of six LHPs under the Global Housing Technology Challenge-India (GHTC-India) that, he said, has given a scope to innovate and incubate with new technology. The programme seeks to build over 1,000 houses each in six cities in 12 months. “These six projects will show a new direction to the housing construction in the country,” he said.
