MEIL deploys indigenously developed hydraulic rigs in Kalol Oil fields

It is part of the ₹6,000 crore order for 47 drilling rigs
Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), which has indigenously developed and manufactured rigs for the oil and gas sector, has deployed it’s first of the 47 rigs in Kalol Oil field near Ahmedabad.
P Rajesh Reddy, Vice-President of MEIL, in a statement said, “These rigs made with 1,500 HP capacity motor can drill oil wells to a depth of 4,000 meters (4 kilometers). These rigs can work for the next 40 years. MEIL has taken up the manufacture of rigs as part of the Government’s Make in India initiative. The first rig has commenced drilling at the Kalol oil field. It drills oil wells faster and operates with minimal power and manufactured with state-of-the-art hydraulic and automated technology.”

Interups Inc picks up 49% stake in Trujet

‘Hyderabad-based regional airline Trujet on Thursday announced 49% foreign direct investment from New York-based Interups Inc in a move that would aid in the expansion of its operations.
“The funds raised through 49% FDI in the company will be utilised to expand operations pan India and explore newer opportunities in the civil aviation sector, “ said K.V. Pradeep, group director, MEIL (Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited) and Palepu Lakshmi Prasad, chairman of Interups Inc., in a joint statement.
The funding would be decided at a later stage.
Trujet is a regional air carrier promoted by Turbo Megha Airways Pvt. Ltd. It has seven planes and serves almost 21 destinations across India, including those awarded to it under the government’s regional connectivity scheme.

Minister for Water Resources P. Anil Kumar on Wednesday visited the spillway works, fixing of gates and hydraulic cylinders, upper and lower dam works at the Polvaram dam site.
As part of the two-day visit to the project site and Relief and review on Rehabilitation (R&R) colonies, the Minister took stock of the situation and held a meeting with Polavaram project and Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) officials.

HYDERABAD: The wait for completion of the Keshavapuram reservoir has got longer. Though the state government has allowed 409.53 hectares of forest land to be used for construction of the reservoir, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) officials say acquiring revenue land has become troublesome.
As a result, they will start works for constructing the reservoir on the available land within 15 days. Tenders have been finalised and work order has been to Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL).
