KED no longer has majority support in Sudbury
Special thanks to councillors Mark Signoretti and Geoff McCausland for bringing forward their open-minded motion to direct staff to complete further study of the Project Now proposal; and to councillors Gerry Montpellier, Rene Lapierre, Deb McIntosh and Fern Cormier, thank you for standing up and supporting that motion at the last city council meeting.

Sadly, the motion was defeated in a 6-6 tie vote, although Ward 2 Coun. Michael Vagnini has said that he voted against the motion in error due to technical glitches. He will reportedly be seeking a revote at the next council meeting on Jan. 12.
