Russian colleagues informed Armenian side about consultations in Baku on return of 6 captured Armenian soldiers - Armenia military official
The first deadline of the return of 6 Armenian servicemen has expired, head of the chief operative department of the Armenian Armed Forces, deputy chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Mayor-General Edward Asryan told the reporters today.
“Initially we gave an hour. After the hour expired our Russian colleagues contacted us and informed that consultations were being held in Baku and the issue of return of our captives was being discussed. This is why we haven’t undertaken relevant actions after the deadline,” he noted.

Armenian president holds phone call with General Staff chief
Armenia’s President Armen Sarkissian on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Artak Davtyan, the presidential office reported.
The army chief presented details from today’s incident in which six Armenian servicemen were captured by the Azerbaijani troops in the border area of Gegharkunik Province and the current border situation.
The president stressed the importance of using all the opportunities of the competent bodies, first of all, the Armenian Armed Forces, and diplomacy for the return of the captured servicemen.
