The Effingham County Industrial Development Authority (IDA) recently acquired 448 acres off Old Augusta Road near the Fort Howard Road roundabout in Rincon. The IDA purchased the tract, called Grande View, from the Effingham County Board of Commissioners. The board of commissioners, per a contract, bought the property from private developers after water and sewer lines weren’t run to it by an agreed upon date.

AeroDynamic Aviation Inc., a supplier of subassembly interior parts for a regional luxury aircraft manufacturer, has announced the acquisition of a 17-acre site on Ga. Hwy 21 in Springfield  to quadruple its footprint from 9,000 to 40,000 square feet. This expansion will allow AeroDynamic to increase production and add new machines and capabilities to its product line and should be complete by the summer of 2021.
