Three Fort Campbell soldiers are facing charges of buying and transferring nearly 100 guns to Chicago. Guns bought and handled by the men were later tied to shootings, some fatal, in Chicago, according to federal prosecutors.
The men, Demarcus Adams, 21; Jarius Brunson, 22; and Brandon Miller, 22; are enlisted members of the U.S. Army and stationed at Fort Campbell, which houses the 101st Airborne Division. They were arrested Tuesday morning by agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division.
Three soldiers stationed at Fort Campbell – which straddles the Tennessee/Kentucky border were arrested by federal agents early Tuesday in connection to the transfer of dozens of firearms to Chicago associates after guns recovered from the scene of a mass shooting in the city were linked back to an illegal firearms pipeline.

CHICAGO (CBS) Three U.S. Army soldiers who took an oath to defend this country stood charged Tuesday night with running guns to Chicago.
As CBS 2’s Charlie De Mar reported, some of those weapons were linked to a recent mass shooting.
Demarcus Adams, 21; Jarius Brunson, 22; and Brandon Miller, 22, were charged Tuesday with conspiracy and other offenses by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Middle District of Tennessee.
They are accused of funneling guns back to the city from Fort Campbell on the Kentucky-Tennessee line where they are stationed.

Three Fort Campbell soldiers have been arrested in connection with alleged illegal sales of guns, including ones that were recovered following a mass shooting in Chicago.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office of Middle Tennessee obtained a criminal complaint against 21-year old Demarcus Adams, 22-year old Jarius Brunson, and 22-year old Brandon Miller, all enlisted members of the U.S. Army and stationed at Fort Campbell.
It charges each suspect with transferring a firearm to an out-of-state resident; making false statements during the purchase of a firearm; engaging in the business without a firearms license; wire fraud; money laundering; and conspiracy to commit Title 18 offenses.
