North Country Honor Flight cleared for take off

Letters to the editor for Thursday, June 3, 2021

Letters to the editor for Thursday, June 3, 2021 Support defense funding for Israel I am an Armenian Christian. I am a gentile. I am a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran who supports Israel in the right to defend itself. Why does the U.S. Congress want to deny military aid to Israel when the U.S. spends more than $100 billion dollars to other countries? How many of these countries the U.S. supports have been attacked with more than 4,000 rockets in 10 days? Truly denying aid to Israel is antisemitic by the liberal left U.S. Congress! Veterans Distribute Food to Hundreds of Military Families

It’s a scene that’s played out too many times, especially in the past year-and-a-half. Hundreds of cars line up to collect donated food for their family.

Dean Alan Fritchey Sr , proud Vietnam veteran

May 18, 2021 Mr. Dean Alan Fritchey Sr., 68, of Millsboro, formerly of Folcroft, Pa., passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Christiana Care Hospital.  Dean was born an identical twin in Philadelphia, Pa., to Earl and Erma Fritchey.    He worked as a maintenance mechanic at Delcora, as a Delco bartender and when they moved to Millsboro, he worked briefly as a security guard for the Pot-Nets community.  Dean was a proud U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran and member of the American Legion and AMVETS Post 2.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, crabbing, spending time with his family, and especially his grandchildren whom he adored.  Dean had a great sense of humor, loved making friends, and would help anyone in need.  He was a wonderful husband, father, pop-pop, brother and friend who will be so dearly missed.
