Republicans have continued to push back against the initiative led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for stacking members with a similar agenda. On Sunday, Pennsylvania Sen. Pat Toomey (R) said the commission was not bipartisan, giving the advantage to Democrats. Toomey added the mission of the group doesn’t seem to focus on getting to the bottom of the incident like the proposal in the Upper Chamber or ongoing investigations by the Department of Justice.
