Washington, D.C.–(Newsfile Corp. – April 19, 2021) – The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the appointments of Prashant Yerramalli, Heather Slavkin Corzo, Kevin Burris, and Scott Schneider to Gary Gensler’s senior staff, responsible for advising him on matters before the Commission.

(WTWO/WAWV) - Ranging from the possible addition of Supreme Court justices, a proposed increase in infrastructure, and the withdrawment of United States troops from Afghanistan, there have been heavily discussed topics at the nation s capitol.
For United States Senator Todd Young he s recently discussed a proposed bill in front of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, the Endless Frontier Act. Young says the bill aims to increase the amount of money invested in technology in the United States to remain globally competitive with countries he says have already invested.
Among the emerging areas of technology that could see potential investments are artificial intelligence, robotics, battery storage and advanced manufacturing.
Santa Fe On Thursday, April 15th, at 8:00 am Mountain Time, New Mexico Secretary of Health Dr. Tracie Collins will testify before the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science & Transportation, Subcommittee on Communications, Media, and Broadband. The hearing is entitled “Shot of Truth: Communicating Trusted Vaccine Information” and can be viewed here.
Dr. Collins will discuss New Mexico’s efforts to disseminate accurate, timely information about vaccine safety to rural areas and communities of color - as well as to encourage more New Mexicans to get vaccinated.
“In New Mexico currently, more than 55% of the population has received at least one shot, and approximately 36% are fully vaccinated. Thanks to our state’s vaccine equity plan, this includes high proportions of minority and socially vulnerable communities,” said Dr. Collins.
