In the midst of the terribly distressing news cycle that s kicked off 2021, Jeff Bridges has a piece of good news to share with the world: The actor, who announced he was diagnosed with lymphoma in October 2020, says his cancer is responding positively to treatment.  “I go in for a CAT scan to see if my new protocol is shrinking my tumor,” Bridges writes in a diary-style entry dated January 6 (and published January 13) on his website. “Turns out it’s working beautifully. The thing has drastically shrunk.   Bridges hasn t specified what type of lymphoma he has (such as Hodgkin s lymphoma and non-Hodgkin s lymphoma), but all forms of the cancer attack the body s lymph system, the U.S. National Library of Medicine explains. The lymph (or lymphatic) system is a part of the immune system that includes the lymph nodes, lymph channels, spleen, thymus gland, tonsils, and adenoids, according to the Mayo Clinic. Lymphoma can spread to other parts of the body, though.
