Arrest Made in November Murder in Decatur

At 3:59 on 11/01/20, Decatur Police responded to the 2300 block of N. Rosedale Ave. reference shots fired. Responding officers located a male, later identified as Decatur resident Trevoris J. Wells, 32 in the front yard of a residence in that block. Wells was deceased and had suffered apparent gunshot wounds. During the subsequent investigation, probable cause was developed for the arrest of Decatur res-ident Brandon D. Pugh, 40 for First Degree Murder. An arrest warrant was obtained for Pugh on 12/28/20. On 12/29/20, Decatur Police Detectives along with the US Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force located Pugh in the 1500 block of N. Poole. Arrests have been made in 7 of the 13 murders occurring in 2020.

Webb of the Milford Police Department was released from Christiana Hospital on Thursday afternoon. Webb was transferred to a rehabilitation facility to continue recovering from several surgeries. He was wheeled out on a stretcher. People lining the path applauded and his ride to the rehab facility drew a police escort. (AP) Police in Delaware have released the name of a fugitive who they say shot and critically wounded a Milford police officer. The News Journal reported Tuesday that Delaware State Police identified the man as Evelio Rivera, 37, of Reading, Pennsylvania. He was wanted in Pennsylvania for attempted murder. Police said that Rivera was killed during an exchange of fire with officers last week. The shooting occurred Thursday at the Econo Lodge Inn and Suites in Rehoboth Beach. ADVERTISEMENT The Milford officer who was shot was assigned to the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force in Delaware. Police said that he and a Delaware State Police trooper and a Probation and Parole officer were attempting to arrest Rivera when he opened fire.

A fourth person wanted in connection with a Canton shooting was arrested

CANTON  A fourth person has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left an 18-year-old southwest Canton man with a significant injury to his ear. Juan R. Grogan, who lives on Plain Avenue NE, was arrested at 6 p.m. Thursday - his 29th birthday - at a store in the 4000 block of Tuscarawas Street W by agents with the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force. He had been wanted on warrants charging him with telephone harassment, aggravated menacing, discharge of a firearm on or near a prohibited premises, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, felonious assault and having weapons under disability.
