City detectives and members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force took 19-year-old Rashaad “Shoddy” Bynum into custody in the 800 block of Hancock Ave., Lt. Christopher LaMaine said. Bynum was charged with criminal attempt at murder, first-degree assault with a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment and carrying a pistol without a permit. He is being held on a $750,000 bond. The charges stem from a daytime shooting on May 20 in the area of East Main and Arctic streets, LaMaine said. Detectives obtained the warrant on June 16.

Officials said they responded to a home on William Street and found a man suffering from serious facial lacerations. The man told police he was sleeping when a male intruder entered his room and confronted him about money he was owed.
