Police are hunting for a 28-year-old man wanted on suspicion of the murder of a pensioner found dead earlier this week.
The body of 83-year-old Donald Ralph was found at his home in the village of Aldham, close to Colchester, just after 1pm on Tuesday.
Essex Police have launched a manhunt to track down Leighton Snook, and warned the public not to approach him but call police immediately if they spot him.
Mr Ralph’s car was stolen and the force said officers believe the killing was a targeted attack.

Police arrest man in connection with murder of 83-year-old POLICE have arrested a man on suspicion of murdering 83-year-old Donald Ralph in Aldham. Officers say they are now no longer looking for Leighton Snook, who they wanted to question in connection with the death. Mr Ralph, 83, was found deceased at his home in Halstead Road shortly after 1pm on Tuesday December 29. A 28-year-old man was arrested in Colchester this evening on suspicion of murder, police said. Two men, aged 30 and 39, and a 21-year-old woman, have also been arrested in Colchester this evening on suspicion of assisting an offender. All four remain in custody for questioning.
