While seniors walked across the stage to receive their diploma,
U.S. News crunched the numbers to find the best high schools in the nation.
U.S. News reviewed nearly 24,000 public high schools across the country and ranked the best in each state using a variety of factors, such as college readiness, college curriculum breadth, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, underserved student performance, and graduation rate.
According to the report, Oklahoma has 468 high schools across 432 districts, with 10,911 full-time teachers and 187,976 students enrolled.

Tulsa Public Schools Board of Education To Vote On Several Contracts At Monthly Meeting
The Tulsa Public Schools Board of Education is scheduled to hold its monthly meeting on Monday. The board could vote on several routine items, including the creation of new job titles and school improvement projects.
A contract will be presented to waterproof the auditorium of Edison Preparatory High School. The board agenda indicates this will cost nearly $98,000.
HVAC improvements to Disney and Lewis and Clark Elementary, and Thoreau Demonstration Academy are a part of another contract that could be voted on. This is estimated to cost just under $9 million.
