Memorial Day observed in Meredith

June 03, 2021MEREDITH Community members gathered to commemorate Memorial Day and honor those who died in the service of their country, from those who came home to those who are still unaccounted for.
American Legion Post 33 hosted a series of Memorial Day observances around town ending with a special guest speaker at Hesky Park.
Members the post did a wreathe laying ceremony at Meredith Village Cemetery, the memorial at the Meredith Public Library, Lang Street Cemetery, and at the POW/MIA memorial in Hesky Park. We recognize all of those whose lives were taken from them in service to this country and everyone in this country, said Bob Jones of the Northeast POW/MIA Network at Hesky Park.
