Coach wins the Rags to Riches Stakes
Oaklawn s road to the Kentucky Oaks begins Saturday with the $200,000 Martha Washington Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at 1 mile.
Probable post time for the Martha Washington, which drew a field of six, is 3:06 p.m. (Central). It goes as the fifth of nine races on the program. First post Saturday, Day 5 of the scheduled 57-day meeting, is 1 p.m.
The Martha Washington will offer 17 points (10-4-2-1, respectively) to the top four finishers toward starting eligibility for the Kentucky Oaks (G1) April 30 at Churchill Downs. The Kentucky Oaks is the country s biggest race for 3-year-old fillies. Oaklawn s Kentucky Oaks points series continues with the $300,000 Honeybee Stakes (G3) March 6 and the $600,000 Fantasy Stakes (G3) April 3. The Honeybee will offer 85 points (50-20-10-5) to the top four finishers, with 170 points (100-40-20-10) up for grabs in the Fantasy.
Electrify Commercial, APS Partner to Expand Fast-Charging Across Arizona
Electrify Commercial says it will provide its charging equipment, networking and customized services to support Arizona Public Service Co. (APS) with its Take Charge AZ investment in electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging. The project includes five new charging stations with four individual chargers each, for a total of 20 ultra-fast chargers across the state.
The announcement follows the recent launch of Electrify Commercial, a new business unit from Electrify America designed to help deliver turnkey EV charging solutions to businesses, utilities and government entities. Electrify America is also the only CCS network in the U.S. that deploys exclusively 150 kW and 350 kW chargers.
Electrify Commercial collaborating with Arizona Public Service to provide statewide ultra-fast charging stations
Electrify Commercial will provide its charging equipment, networking, and customized services to support Arizona Public Service Company (APS) with its Take Charge AZ investment in electric vehicle (EV) fast charging. The project includes five new charging stations with four individual chargers each, for a total of 20 ultra-fast chargers across the state.
APS Take Charge AZ will expand access to electric vehicle (EV) charging throughout Arizona. This pilot provides EV chargers to non-residential customers for free. It will last five years during which time APS will gather important data on charging habits and the charging experience. This information will help us design products and services that meet the long-term needs of EV owners and drivers.

What a tough game this is. You only get to show the first card in your hand before virtually the whole pile of chips is distributed. One or two players gather up their winnings, whooping triumphantly, and suddenly your own hopes of staying in the game–your hopes of a viable stud career in Kentucky–depend exorbitantly on the next card. Generally speaking, it doesn t matter if you turn out to have had a whole sheaf of aces farther into your hand. By the time you can turn those over, there will be nothing left on the table but empty glasses and a full ashtray.
