Enterprise, EDF Partner for Solar Project Near Houston EDF Renewables North America has clinched a power purchase agreement (PPA) with an affiliate of Enterprise Products Partner LP to provide solar energy for the Space City Solar Project near Houston. Construction on the Wharton County site is expected to begin this summer and should be operable by summer 2022. The construction phase is forecast to generate about 300 jobs and more than $30 million in new tax revenue over the project’s operating life. The project is designed to use bifacial solar photovoltaic modules. Enterprise’s Jim Teague, co-CEO of the general partner, said the pipeline giant is “committed to being a responsible steward of the environment, including using energy sustainably across our footprint.”
