1.8m children to get anti-typhoid shots in Rawalpindi

The Health Services Department under its Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) has launched its anti-typhoid campaign in Rawalpindi under which 1.876 million children between the ages of 9 months and 15 years will be vaccinated.
Health Services Director (EPI Punjab) Dr Bashir Ahmed Siddiqui on Friday inaugurated the campaign by vaccinating children. According to the health officials, 123 union councils of Rawalpindi district have been selected for this campaign in which 1.876 million children will be vaccinated.
The drive will see participation from 1,101 EPI teams, while 225 supervisory union councils have been formed to oversee the campaign.
