Shehbaz hails UK’s help during new corona wave
Says Pakistan and Britain have a long history of bilateral relations and that for Pakistanis, the UK is like a second home

Islamabad: British High Commissioner to Pakistan Dr Christian Turner met Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif at the British High Commission in Islamabad. Former prime minister Shahid Khan Khaqan Abbasi and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Secretary Information Maryam Aurangzeb were also present on the occasion.
Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the British assistance to Pakistan during the new coronavirus pandemic. He extended his condolences to the British high commissioner for the covid-19 deaths in Britain.

ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif met Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Ron at the Chinese High Commission on Thursday. He was accompanied by former prime minister Shahid Kahqan Abbasi, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N’s) Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed and PML-N’s Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb.
This was Shehbaz’s first meeting with the chinese ambassador after his appointment, the meeting was held in a pleasant, lively and friendly environment.

LAHORE: PML-N President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif said on Monday that had the sugar and flour of the people not been looted under the patronage of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistanis would not have to suffer in long queues and run from pillar to post for the commodities.
Talking to the party’s parliamentarians here in Model Town, Shehbaz urged the government to rescue the mothers and daughters of the nation from the humiliation of standing in long queues [while fasting] in the heat for a kilogram of sugar.

LAHORE: PML-N President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has expressed alarm and concern over the oxygen shortage in the country amid rising cases of Covid-19.
“All stakeholders must formulate a strategy on emergent grounds to save the country from a crisis like the one prevailing in India,” Shehbaz said in a statement here on Monday.
He urged the government to come up with a better strategy to deal with the new virus variants detected in the country. He proposed that the successful model devised by him during the dengue crisis could also be used.
