A suspected armed robber has been found dead as four others escaped after policemen and vigilante men exchanged gunfire in Oghara Community in the Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Police also recovered two cut to size barrel guns, four live cartridges, six expended ones a total of nine phones cash sum of thirty-four thousand three hundred and seventy naira (N34,370:00) from the suspect, DAILY POST can report.
The deceased suspect and four other members of the armed robbery gang were robbing from house to house in the area.
The suspected armed robbers on sighting the police, engaged them on a shooting spree and the team gallantly returned fire.

AN angry mob have beaten three suspected kidnappers to death at Oghara community, Ethiope West Local Government Area, Delta State.
Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr. Bright Edafe, in a statement yesterday, said the trio were attacked by the mob while attempting to kidnap a victim at Oghara junction.
The statement read: “On the 10/5/2021 at about 1030hrs, information received that mob were attacking three kidnapping suspects who attempted to kidnap a victim whose identity was disclosed at Oghara Junction.
“Consequently, the divisional police officer Oghara division mobilized patrol teams and vigilante teams to the scene and rescued the three suspects which includes one Onome Efetobore ‘m’ a notorious criminal that has been in the police wanted list, Collins (surname unknown) also a known notorious kidnapper and armed robber who escaped from Benin cor

The Police in Delta State has confirmed the death of a suspected robber, Ugbaudu Williams, 31, after being allegedly shot by “his partner in crime’’.
DSP Edafe Bright, the Acting Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, confirmed the development to newsmen on Friday in Warri.
Bright said the deceased and one other now at large went on a robbery mission on May 5, at Ijomi village near Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state.
He explained that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Oghara Division, received a distress call on the development and immediately deployed a patrol team to the scene.

Missing Delta teenage girl found – Police

Thirteen-year-old, Treasure Ofuya, whom the police declared missing on Thursday in Delta, has been found.
Acting Police Public Relations Officer at the police command in Delta, DSP Edafe Bright, told newsmen earlier on Thursday that the girl was last seen on April 30 when she left for school in Effurun in the state.
A 13-year-old girl, Treasure Ofuya, who was declared missing in Delta State has been found.
She is said to be in the custody of the police at Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state.
“Missing Treasure Ofuya has been found in Oghara, she is currently with the police and will be reunited with her family soon,” Ag. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, informed

Tribune Onlinereports that the Delta State Police Command had earlier on Thursday declared the teenage girl missing following her disappearance on April 30.
She reportedly had a beef with her mother over the misuse of her smartphone.
