The situation in Tigray is horrific, very horrific , Xinhua news agency quoted Tedros as saying said in a press conference on Monday. Ninety-one per cent of the Tigray locals need food aid and many of them are dying of hunger, he said, adding that incidents of rape have also been reported.

News: Joint intelligence, security task force says it foils two underground cells plotting to disrupt election, train youth in Amhara region & Addis Abeba Addis Abeba, May 6, 2021 – The joint intelligence and security task force comprised of the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS), Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF), the Federal Police Commission, and Information Network Security Agency (INSA) announced that it has foiled underground cells allegedly plotting to disrupt the 6th general election. According to the statement, the group was being provided with financial logistic support by ‘extremist’ diaspora based in different countries. It is also supported by members of political parties both opposition and ruling parties alike as well as members and former members of the defense forces and other clandestine armed groups.
