Four injured in crash with police car on PBR

Two police officers were rushing a robbery victim to hospital when their car was involved in an accident in Mt Lambert on the Priority Bus Route on Friday morning.
Around 8.35 am, police responded to a robbery at Benefit the People Supermarket on the Eastern Main Road in Malick, Barataria, where Vietnamese national, Vien Vaa Buis was beaten and robbed.
They were on the bus route, taking Vaa Buis to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC), Mt Hope, when, as their car was crossing the intersection at Mt Lambert, it crashed into a black van driven by a woman.
Homeless man stabbed to death at EWMSC

A homeless man was stabbed to death on Thursday night at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC), Mt Hope.
Police said around midnight Noel Williams, 65, approached the security booth at the hospital. He was bleeding and was helped into the accident and emergency department, where he died of his injuries at 1.19 am while being treated for a stab wound to the chest.
He was known to the security guards to sleep on the compound at night.
Police retrieved two knives, among other items that will be used as evidence, at the EWMSC.
A 37-year-old man is in police custody after he allegedly assaulted a Cuban woman and her five-month-old daughter.
The incident allegedly took place at about 2am on Monday at the victim s apartment along Satar Street, Aranguez.
Residents of the area heard a loud commotion, followed by screams.
They notified the police and officers of the San Juan Police Station responded.
When they arrived, they had cause to confront the suspect, who had the strong smell of alcohol on him.
They managed to subdue the suspect and were informed that he had assaulted the woman and threatened to stab her and her five-month-old child.
