Buffalo’s Creek Side Performing Arts will present their version of Shrek JR. the Musical this Friday and Saturday.
According to Creek Side’s website, Shrek JR. is based on the Oscar-winning animation film and Broadway musical. Everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek JR. is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.
Performances are Friday evening at 7pm, and Saturday performances are at 1 and 5pm at the Buffalo High School Auditorium.
The third and final public forum for candidates for the district superintendent position for Johnson County School District #1 was held Wednesday night at the Buffalo High School Auditorium.
Charles Auzqui, who is the current Superintendent and K-12 Principal with Sheridan County School District #3, spoke about growing up and attending schools in the Buffalo area and his experience during his years as an educator in Wright and in Clearmont.
He told those attending that he is not looking at the position as a “stepping stone” to somewhere else, but as a long-term destination in a dream job.
Auzqui said he will do what is best for the kids and will be transparent in the process.
