Jeremiah Parker, a Life Scout with Boy Scout Troop 41 in Waterbury, recently completed his Eagle Service Project at Bucks Hill Park in Waterbury.
Through fundraising and donations, Jeremiah, along with his Troop, Scout Master, former Scout Leaders and others, was able to replace three backstops on the baseball fields at the park.

Daveyaun Groves is charged with the murder of Jeremiah Parker, 19, as prosecutors allege Groves shot Parker last summer while Parker was riding in a friend s car on Marine Street.
Early on July 3, police were dispatched to the 1600 block of South Marine Street around 1:25 a.m. for reports of shots fired and a car crashed into a tree, according to court documents. At the scene, officers found a red Dodge crashed into a tree on the west side of the road.
Parker was located in the front passenger seat and was declared dead at the scene. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide caused by a gunshot wound to the chest.
