Dead baby case going to Ritchie County grand jury | News, Sports, Jobs

Elizabeth Saxton PENNSBORO A Ritchie County woman who did not resuscitate her dead baby after giving birth at home will appear before a grand jury in June. Elizabeth Saxton, 31, 108 School Drive, Pennsboro, gave birth in the shower and claimed the baby was blue in the face and not breathing, according to a criminal complaint filed with the Ritchie County Magistrate Court. Saxton reportedly did not try to revive the child or call 911; she wrapped the baby in a towel before placing it beside her bed, court records said. The deceased child was found in her home following a search warrant and she is being charged with child neglect resulting in death and the concealment of a deceased human body.
