What was once the Belle Vue cinema in Weymouth It s hard to believe but at one time Weymouth and Portland had four cinemas. These days the area has just one multiplex - Cineworld in Weymouth town centre, which currently closed due to the national lockdown. But turn back the clock to the 1950s and besides the better known Gaumont, the Odeon in Weymouth and the Regal on Portland, there was also the Belle Vue in Weymouth. The Belle Vue Picture Palace, at the junction of Belle Vue and East Street, was opened on December 5, 1910. It was converted from lodging houses.
Norwich church appoints new lead pastor The Elim Pentecostal One Church Norwich (ONE) has appointed Sam Collinson as its new Lead Pastor, 18 months after its former pastors, Dominic and Catherine De Souza, transferred to Wales. Sam was officially installed into his new post by Rev David Campbell, the Regional Leader for the Elim Metropolitan East and West Regions during a Zoom Induction Service held on Saturday January 16. Sam’s appointment at ONE Church follows an 18-month interim leadership period (of which Sam was part), that came as a result of Dominic and Catherine De Souza’s transfer to Wales to take up their new appointment at Cardiff City Church in July 2019.

Lloyds Bank Fights Church Group s Suit Over Swaps Deals

Lloyds hit back at a lawsuit filed by three representatives of the Elim Foursquare Gospel Alliance a Pentecostal church organization seeking damages for deceit over claims the lender wrongly declared it would not try to manipulate a key interest rate benchmark.
