WASHINGTON – President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden traveled to Georgia on Thursday to attend a car drive-in rally outside of the Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth.
Biden said Americans owe a “special thanks” to the voters in Georgia who sent Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, a former journalist, to the Senate. Warnock, 51, and Ossoff, 34, helped to pass the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan.
“Because of you, the rest of America was able to get help,” Biden said. “If you ever wonder if elections make a difference, just remember what you did here.”
