The student, who has not been named due to his age, attended West Clermont Middle School. According to officials with the Clermont County Sheriff s Office, the eighth-grader kept a list of individuals whom he planned to harm. School officials were made aware of the list on Wednesday, and an investigation was launched in collaborations with the sheriff s office. Sheriff s deputies say they spoke with the boy, who told detectives he made the so-called hit list, but added he had no intention on carrying it out. The safety of staff and students within our schools is and will remain a priority of the sheriff s office. We will continue to encourage students to report any issue that jeopardizes the safety of students on campus, a statement from Clermont County Sheri
