Terrence A. Cronin, Jr., MD, FAAD, elected American Academy of Dermatology president for 2023 ROSEMONT, Ill. (April 21, 2021) Florida board-certified dermatologist Terrence A. Cronin, Jr., MD, FAAD, has been elected to lead the American Academy of Dermatology. He will be installed as president-elect in March 2022 and hold the office of president for one year beginning in March 2023. As president, Dr. Cronin will lead the world’s largest dermatologic society, representing more than 20,000 physicians who specialize in the diagnosis and medical, surgical, and cosmetic treatment of skin, hair, and nail conditions. He will also hold the same position for the American Academy of Dermatology Association, a sister organization to the AAD that focuses on government affairs, health policy, and practice information.

The Princeton Council appointed Hvozdovic, who will assume his new duties May 3, at its April 12 meeting. He will be paid $210,000 for 2021. His salary will increase to $220,000 for 2022 under the terms of an agreement between the new administrator and the council. The Princeton Council also approved a resolution that extends the term of Acting Administrator Robert Bruschi and also increases his work week from 25 hours per week to 35 hours. He was appointed to fill in as the town’s administrator after Dashield’s last day on the job.

The study, which is being presented next week at the American Stroke Association s virtual International Stroke Conference, found people with any type of cognitive impairment were 51% more likely to get infected. Their risk of dying, however, was no higher than it was for their peers whose brains were unimpaired.
