Estonian Olympic Committee recognises MMA as a sport Friday, 7 May 2021 The Estonian Mixed Martial Arts Federation (EMMAF) has been accepted as a member of the Estonian Olympic Committee (EOC), with mixed martial arts (MMA) being recognised as a sport in Estonia. EMMAF Board member Ott Tõnissaar expressed his delight after more than a decade of aiming for national recognition. I am pleased to say, that after more than 15 years of work we can say that we are here to stay, as the EMMAF yesterday became a fully-fledged member of the EOC, said Tõnissaar. This means that MMA is now a Government recognised sport in Estonia and the EMMAF is its sole, national representative.

Rally Estonia included in WRC calendar in 2021, 2021 2021-01-14 BNS/TBT Staff TALLINN - WRC Promoter and Rally Estonia have signed an agreement according to which Rally Estonia will also be a World Rally Championship (WRC) event in 2021 and 2022. Jona Siebel, managing director of the WRC, and business director of Rally Estonia Tarmo Hobe signed a contract on Wednesday according to which Rally Estonia will remain a part of the WRC calendar also in 2021 and 2022, spokespeople for Rally Estonia said. Likewise signed was a memorandum of understanding between the Estonian Ministry of Culture, WRC Promoter, the Estonian Autosport Union and Rally Estonia.
